2015
Vietnam Honour Medal
In October 2015, Bắc Giang Province and the Government of Vietnam awarded the Vietnam Honour Medal to Dr. Carin Holroyd, who accepted the certificate and medal on behalf of the Vietnam Education Society. The recognition honoured VES’s contribution to the education of children in rural Vietnam and acknowledged the special role that Dr. Holroyd had played in building and creating partnerships in Bắc Giang Province and across Vietnam.
2016
Governor General’s Meritorious Service Medal
In December 2016, Carin Holroyd was awarded the Governor General’s Meritorious Service medal for her work in Vietnam. “The Meritorious Service Decorations (Civil Division) were established to recognize remarkable contributions in many different fields of endeavour, from advocacy initiatives and health care services, to research and humanitarian efforts.” (The Governor General of Canada)
2022

2024
Quảng Trị Provincial Study Promotion Association Certificate
In April 2024, Quảng TrịStudy Promotion Association recognized Carin Holroyd and the Vietnam Education Society for their contributions to Quảng Trị province including funding for school construction and supplies in remote areas of the province.
